WESTFIELD LAUNCH SPORT 250
New model from Westfield Sports Cars is the Sport 250, which is powered by a 250bhp version of the Ford EcoBoost 2.-litre and is based on revised chassis architecture of the Honda K20-powered Sport 2000 model.
With the EcoBoost – in its various guises – becoming the weapon of choice for go-ahead kitcar manufacturers in the UK, although the Black Country-based kitcar manufacturer has gone their own way obtaining supplies of the new Ford powerplant.
They use the Ford Racing (American) Focus ST ‘crate’ package, which gives them a comprehensive plug and play kit of parts including the fly-by-wire throttle and also the engine management system.
The ensemble is topped-off by Mazda MX-5 differential and gearbox, sourced from Vitesse Global. Visually, the Sport 250 wears a taller (2in) windscreen, raked slightly differently, which gives the car a definite identity.
Performance from the 250bhp engine will be hilarious fun, while torque output is also very healthy at 320lb/ft.
Sport 250 comprehensive kit packages start at £24,999 inc VAT, bringing you everything you need to complete a car, with turnkey examples from £28,745 inc VAT.
