I was intrigued to see Powerlite’s Power Start device at the recent Race Retro show recently and if you’ve got an old British bike such as Triton or BSA you can save your leg muscles by using one of these to get your engine started.

Best-known for their superb range of starters and alternators the 36kg Power Start is a very neat product. It features integrated starter motor and dry battery cell.

It is operated by a foot switch and has duel driven rollers and is extremely ergonomic. If I had an old Norbsa in the shed I’d definitely buy one. A snip at £****.
