It is generally believed that the best head gaskets are made of copper, but there is more than one copper head gasket on the market.
The original Payen-stamped gasket TAM2121 is now obsolete, so it’s a good job that the latest Mini Spares gasket is UK-made to the original drawing specifications with latter-day improvements.
The Mini Spares gasket features perfect combustion and oil fire rings and a 3.35cc compressed volume. It will fit850/997/998/1100cc engines and, best of all, it’s cheaper than the original.
