NEW DESIGN FROM XCS
A mention of a great kitcar name – the Rush, leads me this week to XCS Designs. They are best known for being the manufacturers of the brilliant XCS427, designed by former DAX duo, Peter Walker and Gary Sanders.
There have been plenty of developments lately at the sparkling new Saffron Walden workshop of XCS, run by Harvey Rice. The company has announced an entry-level version of the XCS 427, while regular visitors to their Facebook page in recent months will have seen news of a new Rush-inspired model.
It will feature a new round tube chassis and a version of the patented Camber Compensation suspension system as used on the DAX 427. For the record, CC&AR is uniquely able to optimise the all-important contact between tyre and road and thus best maximise grip, composure and predictability – while at the same time providing an exemplary ride!
The company is keeping details of the full specification quite close to their chest but when it comes to engine choice I have heard the word ‘Honda’ mentioned. All will, as they say, be revealed soon enough.
Oh and the workshop I mentioned – you’ll find it at Unit 38-40, Shire Hill Industrial Estate,
Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 3AQ.
