New from Kingfisher Kustoms and Pie Valley Buggies (the two companies work very closely together on Beetle-related kitcar parts these days although I keep wanting to say ‘Pie Chuckers and Shunters Club for some obscure reason!)) is this new bolt-on independent double-wishbone suspension subframe for early Ti-model Beetle-based kitcars and beach buggies.
The intrepid pairing is currently developing a similar arrangement for the 1302/1303 models.
The package contains everything you need to convert your car including quality GAZ dampers and polyurethane bushes, Mini-derived rack and pinion steering and bespoke tie-rod adjuster and the whole caboodle is priced at £2274 inc VAT.
The system allows for complete every which way adjustment and has been tested by an ex-JLR engineer to be stiffer and stronger than the original parts.
