THE LIMOUSINE OF VACUUM CLEANERS
Premium cylinder vacuum cleaner manufacturer, Miele has unveiled its most powerful vacuum cleaner to date.
The new cordless Miele Triflex HX2 is 60 per cent more powerful than its predecessor, Triflex HX1. In addition, it offers an extra-wide, intelligent floorhead that covers more ground in less time. A veritable allrounder, it combines exceptional cleaning performance, speed and flexibility with an improved user experience. Featuring a patented 3-in-1 design, the Triflex can be configured as a cordless handstick, cordless hand-held and cordless upright vacuum cleaner.
This pioneering system enables the user to quickly and easily change the setup of the Triflex to suit their cleaning needs in a matter of seconds. Miele’s Triflex also features a removable battery allowing consumers to double their cleaning potential with the purchase of a second battery. The flagship Triflex HX2 Pro comes complete with two batteries, offering up to 120 minutes of continuous power.
Laurie Billson, marketing manager for Floorcare at Miele GB said: “At Miele, our philosophy is to be ‘Immer Besser’ which means to be forever better in all that we do. Our new Triflex HX2 builds on the success of Miele’s first cordless vacuum cleaner, the Triflex HX1, to deliver a new model which is even more powerful, flexible and easy to use and maintain.”
The improved cleaning performance of the Triflex HX2 is attributable to its new Digital Efficiency Motor with its 60 per cent increased performance. The motor works in combination with Miele’s Vortex Technology and Multi-Floor XXL electrobrush to deliver exceptional cleaning power.
The rotating beater linked with its intelligent detection of floor coverings reduces rotational speed on hard floors to save energy and prolong battery life. This intelligence also determines the level of motor power needed depending on the type of flooring. It does this by automatically detecting the type of flooring and will increase the speed of the spinning brush for outstanding cleaning on carpets.
The HX2 Cat & Dog and HX2 Pro models feature an LED headlight (BrilliantLight), helping to find the last specks of dust in the darkest of corners.
The Triflex HX2 is powered by a lithium-ion battery from Germany’s premium manufacturer, Varta. Comprising of seven high-performance cells, the battery offers up to 60 minutes of continuous cleaning.
When the Triflex is operated in the second of three power levels, recommended for regular soiling, more than 1100 square feet of flooring can be cleaned on a single charge. When used at the maximum power level, the Triflex HX2 offers exceptional cleaning performance – even more powerful than Miele’s award-winning Complete C3 Cat & Dog cylinder vacuum.
To extend the run time, additional rechargeable batteries are available to buy separately. The flagship Triflex HX2 Pro, with two batteries offering up to 120 minutes of run-time, also features a second charger as standard.
The key components of the Triflex – the PowerUnit (which contains the motor, rechargeable battery and dust box), suction tube, floorhead and handle – can be quickly reconfigured into a choice of three modes for complete flexibility and versatile handling: handstick, handheld and upright.
When the PowerUnit is positioned at the top, the Triflex is set up as a cordless handstick which is ideal for cleaning hard to reach areas, such as under furniture or the ceiling.
When the PowerUnit is fitted close to the floor, the Triflex HX2 becomes a cordless upright vacuum cleaner. The centre of gravity is shifted lower, creating the perfect ergonomic balance for vacuuming large areas. For optimal convenience, in this mode, the Triflex can stand upright unsupported – making storage a cinch and great for any interruptions whilst vacuuming.
When the PowerUnit is detached from the tube and floor head, it is ideal for quickly removing crumbs from the breakfast table or cleaning the car.
The Triflex HX2 comes with a new accessory holder with three handy attachments; the upholstery nozzle, the crevice nozzle and the dusting brush – each is securely held on the suction tube ready to be deployed at a moment’s notice.
The Triflex also proves highly flexible when it comes to storage, making the best of available space. With the PowerUnit in either the lower or upper position, the appliance can be suspended from the provided wall bracket. If there is insufficient space or to avoid the need to drill holes, when configured as a cordless upright, the Triflex can stand on its own.
To charge the Triflex, simply plug the charging cable directly into the connector on the battery. For complete flexibility, the battery can be charged on or off the Triflex – ideal if no power socket is available where the vacuum cleaner is stored.
The Miele Triflex HX2 is available in three colours – Lotus White, Obsidian Black and Infinity Grey.
The compact electro brush, additional batteries and additional chargers can also be purchased as separate accessories. Prices start from £599.
