HEAT CONTROL
Keeping a turbocharger cool is the secret of maximising performance while encouraging faster spool-up and minimising turbo-lag; and one of the best and cost-effective ways of keeping a turbo cool is fitting a turbo heatshield. These will also reduce engine bay temperatures and protect sensitive components.
DEI now offers a variety of turbo shields in three distinct ranges:
GEN-3 TITANIUM™ Turbo Shields is DEI’s most technologically advanced shield line.
It features a silicone-coated TITANIUM LR outer layer, a silica blend insulation layer with a glass-silica-stainless weave inner layer and a protective stainless mesh liner. This is the strongest, most heat-resistant textile available. Prices start at £245.34.
Ultra 47™ Turbo Shields are made from a Tri-Layer mix of an aluminium-impregnated glass fibre outer shell with a high-temperature insulating mat core and silica glass blend liner. Ultra 47 Turbo Shields feature double-stitched material and heavy-duty capped anchor points. They are made in the USA, sell at an economical price and are available in T3 and T4 turbo sizes with more sizes to be added to the range shortly. Prices start at £146.60.
ONYX™ Series Black Turbo Shields feature a popular rich black finish that looks great whilst offering extreme protection. The ONYX™ Series is made in the USA using an exclusive combination of premium heat-resistant textiles and newly designed stainless steel attachment anchors. Applications are available for smaller T22 and T25 turbo sizes. Prices start at £236.10.
