AUTOMOTIVE PLUMBING MADE EASY
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hose is good stuff. It’s compatible with most fuels, oil and common automotive fluids; can handle higher temperatures and pressure; and eliminates fuel permeation. It’s a good choice when it comes to plumbing a car. Vibrant Performance makes some very nice PTFE hose and matching high-flow fittings to make your plumbing job a cinch.
PTFE Hose
Vibrant Performance PTFE Hose has a durable and flexible PTFE inner liner that is compatible with petrol, diesel, E85, methanol and race fuel; motor and gear oil; coolant; and transmission, clutch and power steering fluid. The hose has an operating temperature range of 70°C to 250°C and can handle operating pressures of 1000 to 4000 PSI depending on hose size.
Vibrant Performance PTFE Hose is available in sizes from -3AN to -16AN with your choice of stainless-steel braid or stainless steel with a black nylon outer braid for abrasion protection.
High Flow Hose Ends
Vibrant Performance High Flow Hose Ends are specifically designed for use with Vibrant PTFE Hose. Machined from 6061 aluminium, the hose ends are reusable and use an aluminium olive that compresses on the PTFE hose during assembly for a leak-free seal.
Vibrant Performance High Flow Hose Ends are available in the same AN sizes as the PTFE hose in a choice of straight, 30-, 45-, 60-, 90-, 120-, 150- and 180-degree angles. Summit Racing also carries Vibrant male ORB 90-degree swivel, 90-degree tight-radius and banjo hose ends for areas where clearance is at a premium.
Vibrant Performance does not recommend using its PTFE hose and hose ends for brake systems or hydraulic applications.
