I do like a nice drying towel. I truly believe they make a huge difference when washing a car. I’ve tried loads of them and believe me most of them are truly garbage. There are some good ones though and my hitherto two go-tos have been Car Pro’s Boa Constrictor XL and Chemical Guys’ Woolly Mammoth. Excellent.

However, when someone recommended Meguiar’s new Duo Twist drying towel I had to give it a go as they were raving about it. A decent size at 50cm x 90cm this 1200gsm marvel is produced from 87 per cent polyester and 13 per cent polyamide.

On my friend’s Jaguar XJ – not exactly a small car – it dried the body off to a fine shine in one pass and I believe could have gone round again such is its water-holding capacity.

I’ll add it to my arsenal for sure believing it to be at least as good as my CarPro and Chemical Guys towels which will more than do for me even at £30.
