I have tested out more than a few glass cleaners over the years and like to think I know what a good one is. I certainly know a bad one when I see it!

Just when I thought that I really had found the very best along comes a new kid on the block to knock it off its perch. What is it?

Bilt Hamber’s Trace-Less is described as a ‘super wetting glass cleaner’. I’ve been putting it through its paces this week both on my car windows plus a few domestic applications like the outside of my oven door and my shower cabinet.

It definitely leaves no trace. No smears, no residue, no other nasties. It left a super shiny, crystal clear finish, which is due to its special surfactants that flash very quickly almost on application. It is non-abrasive and really is rather special. Definitely the best glass cleaner I have thus far tried.

The Chelmsford-based company’s range isn’t the size of a phone directory, rather ‘petit and bijou’ I’d say, but among the line-up are some fantastic products such as Auto-Wheel (wheel cleaner) and Auto-Foam (snow foam) and Trace-Less offers superb value at just £12.95 for a one-litre spray bottle.
