GOOD CATCH!

These particular DOUBLE ACTING QUICK RELEASE PIP PINS are made from Stainless Steel. With a ring handle which can be pulled or pushed to retract the two hardened balls in the base of the pin which releases the pip pin from its location. These have many applications for vehicle and pit equipment and generally with alignment and locating. Not cheap, but extremely useful.

FLOATING ANCHOR NUTS – are like rivnuts but much stronger and easier to install and use. They’re designed for panels that need to be removed quickly and often, a form of captive nut that sits under the receiving panel of the two panels being bolted together. Useful for front splitters, fibreglass panels, battery boxes, fuel tank enclosures, wheel arches, and a lot more.

This particular ‘floating’ type, as pictured is easier to install than the fixed type. This is due to the nut being loose on the anchor plate, so drilling accuracy doesn’t have to be perfect, as it would do for the fixed variant, therefore leaving space for misalignment. Secure the anchor nut to the panel using countersunk rivets. The nut is elliptically offset (oval) so is self-locking, meaning a secure fit every time.

AEROLOC SELF-EJECTING QUARTER-TURN PANEL FASTENERS are extremely useful. Widely used for securing panels together and fastening panel to chassis or motorbike fairing/ body work. More secure than alternatives with a wider range of sizes available. Very well engineered to make a positive, neat closure.

If you are currently using the standard EHF5 range of Dzus clips, then the AeroLoc can easily be retro-fitted to the panel as the hole size needed for a EHF5 Dzus clip in the panel is identical to that required for an AeroLoc.
