AUSSIE ANTI-ROLL
Australian chassis specialists, SuperPro has released a versatile new range of fully adjustable anti-roll bar (ARB) links in varying lengths and fitments. This portfolio fits most tuner, road and race cars, offering owners and builders the chance to optimise the operation, efficiency and appearance of either OEM or uprated anti-roll bars.
This product solves several problems for tuners and enthusiasts. Firstly, due to the links being stiffer and having greater integrity than most OEM parts, they ensure that the forces of load transfer created during cornering are transmitted into the bar itself, rather than being lost by bending the links. The result is a true torsional rate from the bar. This is a problem exacerbated when using stiffer, aftermarket anti-roll bars. Here, the extra effort required to twist the bar will often bend a lesser link, resulting in an effective loss of spring rate from the bar. The result will be less than perfect handling – and a car that is impossible to get accurate set-up data from.
Secondly, the precisely adjustable length of the SuperPro links addresses an important issue when lowering a vehicle. When a car is raised or lowered beyond around 25-30mm from its factory ride height, the anti-roll bar will often sit at an un-natural angle, moving the blades of the bar out of their optimum plane of movement. With the SuperPro links, a longer or shorter link can be created in order to place the bar in its perfect position.
The third advantage with these links relates to aftermarket bars, which often come with two or three adjustable positions to allow switched-on owners to adjust the rate and attitude of their car. The problem is, many OEM drop links simply will not reach every single hole on many applications, preventing many set-up options from being accessed. By their ability to be fine-dialled to a precise length, the SuperPro links make this problem a thing of the past.
Finally, being semi-universal in nature, and fitting more than one car, the links offer a useful solution to retailers looking to maximize coverage whilst keeping sensible levels of stock.
As you might expect of a SuperPro product, the design of the universal ARB links vastly exceed that of OE offerings, the main body of the product having been constructed from 6060-T5 alloy, a material that offers a superb balance between weight and strength. The design of the universal links is also key to their sheer versatility, with the ball stud fixing allowing them to be mounted simply and swiftly, and with the added benefit of being fully adjustable while bolted to the vehicle in question.
Alternatively, the bar’s extreme strength and well thought out design means that it’s just as suitable for fitment to otherwise standard cars, mounting in a manner that mimics OE fitment and serving as a like-for-like replacement for factory links.
The range of SuperPro adjustable universal ARB links is extensive to say the least, with 19 distinct part numbers covering link lengths from 75mm to 365mm, and with either a 10mm or 12mm ball stud fixing.
Sensibly priced, precision engineered and with the potential to make a huge difference to the handling traits of any vehicle they’re bolted to, SuperPro’s all new universal anti-roll bar links look set to make a big impression on both fast road and track drivers.
