NEW HOME FOR MEV REPLICAR
ANC Sportscars of Ivybridge, Devon, run by Andy Carwithin is the new home for the MEV Replicar kit package.
Andy, an electrical engineer by trade has built several kitcars including a Tiger Avon and Pilgrim Sumo, as has turned his passion into a career by purchasing the Replicar project.
Based on Mazda MX-5 mechanicals, the Replicar takes its inspiration from the incredibly exotic (£20m if you could buy one) Aston Martin DBR1 and was originally devised by Stuart Mills of MEV.
Andy has no plans to change a winning formula but rather will build on the concept and develop it further as time progresses.
Kit price is £5995and for that you get the one-piece GRP bodyshell, the bootlid, pair of doors, dash panel, alloy panels including transmission tunnel and the spaceframe chassis, plus a few sundry items like headlamp cover.
Stuff like wheels (MWS International for wires or if you’d like period ‘steels (Mini One) and seats aren’t supplied so you’d need to source those.
We’ll be bringing you more information as Andy gets settled into his new project although in the meantime you can contact him via 07488 345 491 or www.ancsportscars.co.uk ENDS.
