NEW DASH-CAM FROM PIONEER
Pioneer’s dash cameras can be described as providing a third eye on the road. Recording what is in front of them with diligence and in full HD resolution, they offer peace of mind in being able to capture events in real-time, which, in turn, can protect the user from fraudulent insurance claims.
The latest model to join the Pioneer dash camera line-up is the new VREC-DH200, an ultra-compact, forward-facing model that offers a class-leading level of features yet requires the least amount of windscreen real estate.
Pioneer VREC-DH200 highlight features:
* Wide 130-degree recording angle
* Full HD recording
* GPS data tagging
* Wi-Fi smartphone connectivity
* Four different recording modes: continuous, event, manual and parking
* Gesture-prompted manual recording
* Vibration-sensing security mode
* Supplied with 16GB MicroSD card
By focusing on providing a single high-quality, front recording camera, Pioneer has been able to shrink the new VREC-DH200 into an inconspicuous device measuring around three centimetres cubed. Yet within that space Pioneer has opted to include high-end specifications such as GPS, Wi-Fi smartphone connectivity and a parking security mode that are unusual to find in such an affordable unit.
The wide-angle lens of the VREC-DH200 offers a panoramic 130-degree view, capturing objects and movement from even the periphery of the vehicle. Meanwhile, sophisticated image correction widens the dynamic light range to compensate for contrasts between light and dark zones.
All recordings are overlaid with GPS data, which offers important additional information such as vehicle position, speed, the direction of travel and time. Different modes allow the user to choose whether to have the camera running in either a continuous loop or when prompted, such as by an event on the road or when activated manually through Pioneer’s innovative gesture operation. This is an important safety feature that removes the need for the driver to take their eyes off the road and physically touch the device.
Even when the owner is not around in person, a security mode can also be enabled to keep watch over the vehicle while it is parked, automatically commencing a surveillance recording after detecting vibration through the unit.
The hands-free nature of the VREC-DH200 dash camera continues with the inclusion of built-in Wi-Fi smartphone connectivity. To complement the device, Pioneer has developed an exclusive Dash Camera Remote app which helps owners position their camera for an optimal view. It also provides the primary means for altering the device settings or to check and transfer video content. And with the 16GB MicroSD card supplied, a generous amount of data and real-time events are ready to be captured.
The unit costs £129.99 with more information from www.pioneer-car.eu/uk/products/vrec-dh200 where you can also find out stockists locations ENDS.
