I’M A ROCKER!
Conventional rocker arms tend to produce sideways movement in the valve stems which causes high levels of friction and subsequent wear to both stems and valve guides.
Replacing the standard rockers with roller-rockers virtually eliminates this wear thanks to the strong-arm construction of the rockers and the presence of large, low friction needle roller bearings.
The standard lift Burton Roller Rocker Assembly for the Ford Kent engine can be ordered as part number FP229K at £500 inc VAT.
The roller rocker assembly is suitable for all Ford Kent Crossflow engines, but an alloy rocker cover will be required for clearance. The Burton FP227 or FP227P RED Alloy Rocker Covers would be ideal.
The roller rocker assembly is also suitable for Kent engines used in thousands of kitcars.
