Just when you thought camshaft lifter design had pretty much run its course, COMP Cams comes up with a new twist. The Evolution Hydraulic Roller Lifters use COMP’s patented Hydraulic Cartridge Technology – HCT for short – to deliver unparalleled precision and longer life than previous designs.

Each self-contained hydraulic lifter features a thick-wall body to increase strength and reduce oil volume. Because the lifter has less oil, aeration is significantly reduced and the bleed rates between lifters become much more consistent. The reduced oil volume increases the lifters’ responsiveness and reduces start-up noise too, and precision-engineered bleed down rates ensure excellent high RPM performance, too.

Other features include:

• Increased camshaft duration and lift
  • Two oiling channels to ensure pushrods and rocker arms never starve for oil
  • Stronger link bars stabilize the lifters throughout the RPM range
  • Fully serviceable bodies that permit rebuilding by anyone in their home garage

COMP Cams Evolution Hydraulic Roller Lifters are available for all popular Chevy, Ford, Mopar, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac V8 engines including GM LS and Gen III Hemi.
