CLUTCHING AT STRAWS
Burton Power now has a Hydraulic Clutch Nose Slave Cylinder to convert Ford’s Type 9 five-speed, Rocket/Type E and 2000E/Type 3 gearboxes to hydraulic operation.
The clutch nose slave cylinder is centrally mounted against the gearbox, which provides the most efficient method of operating all push-release type clutches. This design is commonly used in multiple forms of motorsport and is also popular for road conversions.
For a complete conversion, the following will be required: the nose slave cylinder, a release bearing (HD4941), a mount (APC6) and a hydraulic feed line with a bleed kit (APC8). All of these are available separately from Burton Power.
This hydraulic clutch nose slave cylinder is manufactured to a high tolerance, especially for Burton Power by Titan Motorsport – one of the UK’s leading motorsport technical manufacturers. (Be advised that a cheap copy of this cylinder is available on the market, but reviews are not good with reports of premature leaking).
The Hydraulic Clutch Nose Slave Cylinder can be ordered as part number APC5 at £119.95 inc VAT.
