INSULATE AGAINST ETHANOL DAMAGE!
With the ever-increasing ethanol content in modern fuels, which causes higher engine bay temperatures, heat soak is becoming more of an issue, especially for down-draft carburettors such as the Weber IDA and IDF.
Traditionally, the use of 5mm insulators has been enough to prevent significant heat transfer. However, in a number of installations, this is no longer sufficient and so Webcon has now developed a range of 10mm insulators to suit these models of carburettor.
These new insulators are available in 40, 44 and 48mm and are made to the very highest quality in the UK. They are supplied complete with gaskets bonded top and bottom and are available as follows:
Choose from 40IDF (part 9900504000), 44IDF( part 99005045000), 48IDF or 48IDA (shared part number 9900504800). You’ll need two per carburettor and they are priced at £19.19 each inc VAT.
Available directly from Webcon and from appointed Webcon dealers around the world. For further details contact Webcon UK on 01932 787100 or via www.webcon.co.uk ENDS.
