NEW CRANK?
Mini Spares has just announced their own crankshafts made from brand new forgings. The new cranks are based on the EN40B original items. They have large counter-balanced webs and bored holes for the big ends to reduce the reciprocating weight of the crankshaft.
It is not necessary for the customer to drill through the counterbalance webs. Forgings are known to be stronger than billets as the grain pattern follows the shape of the webs and bearings; this contrasts with the billet type cranks which are machined across the grain.
The Mini Spares forged crankshaft is supplied nitride and are designed for 1275cc A-Series blocks and available in 81.3mm bore and 86mm stroke.
They retail at £1638.72 inc VAT and are available via 01707 607 700 or www.minispares.com ENDS.
