ZENOS SAYS ‘R’!
Zenos Cars has begun production of their high-performance E10 R, following the final sign-off of its suspension settings. The pinnacle of the E10 range is now being produced alongside its E10 and E10 S stablemates at the Zenos factory in Wymondham, Norfolk.
The Zenos E10 R is the third variant of the company’s E10 sports car line-up and uses a turbocharged 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine that produces 350bhp. With a dry weight of just 700kg, the E10 R boasts 500 bhp/tonne.
At the same time, the company is pleased to announce that the special E10 R Drive Edition has already sold out. Only 15 examples of the Drive Edition are being made to celebrate the collaboration between Zenos and Drive, the automotive design consultancy that created the unmistakable form of the entire Zenos E10 family.
The Zenos E10 R and E10 R Drive Edition were announced in November 2015, and the E10 R Drive Edition was shown to the public for the first time at the Autosport International show in January. The car features a host of special equipment as standard, including Charged Graphite colour, black anodised chassis, one-way adjustable dampers, six-point harnesses, carbon leather trim and carbon seats.
Zenos has now sold more than 100 cars to customers across eight countries, in Europe, East Asia and North America.
Mark Edwards, Managing Director of Zenos Cars, commented: “The availability of the E10 R means that Zenos now offers a three-car range, allowing buyers to choose their ideal flavour of driving thrills. We’re also delighted to have sold more than 100 cars, just one year after beginning production, and to see how quickly the E10 R Drive Edition has sold out. I believe this is testament to the ‘rightness’ of our unique formula that offers high-performance, lightweight sports cars, at accessible prices, that are great both to drive and to own.”
In the UK the Zenos E10 range begins at just £26,995, with the turbocharged E10 S priced at £32,995 and the E10 R available from £39,995.
