I WONDER IF HAWK CARS USE FALKEN TYRES?
Feb 10th
Thanks to its extensive experience in motorsport and access to the most advanced materials and the latest simulation technology, Falken has announced a new range of safe and sporty handling oriented UHP tyres for performance and SUV applications.
Reinforced with Aramid, just like its race-winning motorsport tyres, the Falken AZENIS FK520 is structurally stronger to provide greater stability and more precise steering behaviour.
By using the latest construction techniques, Falken’s engineers have managed to reduce the weight of the tyre by 10 per cent in comparison with its predecessor. Thanks to its lower weight, the unsprung mass and rolling resistance are reduced, More >

IF YOU BUY ONE CAR BOOK IN 2022 – BUY THIS ONE!
Feb 3rd
Here’s a very long overdue book! Written by Unipower owner (more than one!) and custodian of the Unipower GT Register, Gerry Hulford, it really is great to see this reach three dimensions.
Gerry has put his heart and soul into this, you can tell. His passion for the subject oozes out of every lovingly crafted page. The 172-page hardback book covers the full history of the car from its launch in 1966.
Although an original design created by Ernie Unger and Val Dare-Bryan, there’s definitely some mileage in the cliché that it’s ‘a baby Lamborghini Miura’, which came out after the Unipower.

ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT
Feb 3rd
Now, kitcars with rear-wheel-drive Ford set-ups can be fitted with electronic speedometers thanks to a new sensor from Burton Power.
The sensor will connect to most Ford RWD gearboxes that have an M18 x 1.5 speedometer cable output thread.
The sensor gives an eight pulse per revolution signal and is just 45mm in length which means it can be mounted within most transmission tunnels.
Connection to the electronic speedometer is by means of a three-wire connector: pickup, live and an earth. Order as part number REVT9-A at £46.20 inc VAT.

SQUEAK-FREE WIPER BLADES
Feb 3rd
Parts in Motion reminds drivers to replace blades for streak-free cleaning in winter.
In winter, the importance of having fresh wiper blades with good adhesion to the windscreen glass can be more visible than any other time of year.
Throughout the winter months, salt is sprayed onto the road surface in order to minimise the risk of ice and frozen patches.
Following vehicles on wet roads that had been salted the previous night means your windscreen wipers will be working overtime and PartsinMotion.co.uk reminds drivers to replace their wiper blades to ensure streak-free visibility, even in the worst winter conditions.
Matt Gates, director of PartsinMotion.co.uk, said: “Wiper blades are More >
