SUPER ‘SUPER SPORTS’ FROM RPS
Feb 8th
I’m a big fan of the MG-based conversion kits of RPS Ltd, run by Garry and Julie Hutton. Indeed, I own one of their RPX TF-based conversions and think it is a superb update for the two-seater. They produce innovative and very affordable kit packages that can be bought all-in-one or in stages.
They’ve recently updated the RPX to RPX 500, which features several subtle revisions including restyled bonnet. Not content with that they have just announced the Super Sports for MGF. Although not a replica of the original (of which just two were built in period) it is certainly evocative More >
IT’S A CHILL BLAST
Feb 8th
New from Auto Glym is Polar Blast, which is a pH neutral pre-wash that takes you from ‘caked in mud’ to ‘caked in foam’ in the time it takes you to do a lap of your car with a pressure washer.
Once you’ve had your fill of 90’s nightclub nostalgia and your thick, pillowy, foam party has covered every inch of your car; put your feet up (for ten mins max) and sit back in awe of the amazing ‘cling ability’ of Autoglym’s already established and excellent snow foam formula.
As the product gets to work, visibly drawing the larger particles of More >

Rally Design has added a new 3-tonne trolley jack within its Blackline Tools range.
It has been specifically designed for race car usage – the 75mm minimum height should slide under most spoilers, but will be ideal for kitcar use. It will ‘rocket-lift’ with dual pump technology to 505mm maximum height using just five full pumps.
It has lots of safety features to prevent overloading and over-extending and fully meets TUV, GS, ASME and CE Standards and is very competitively priced at £108.32 inc VAT.

STAG-BASED MUSTANG CONVERSION
Jan 31st
New body conversion kit from long-established classic restorers, Shire Motor Services of Wellingborough is this classic Mustang-style body conversion kit. It’s called the Wild Stag GT3.
Created by James Billson, it uses an unusual donor car in the shape of the Triumph Stag and because it is based on that car’s chassis it is IVA-exempt.
According to Howmanyleft, there are still over 5000 Stags on the road, which is a pretty good percentage of the total that was sold between 1970-1978 (approximately 25,000 made).
James has yet to announce prices but with Stag donors fetching £1000 for a scabby one to £2000 for More >

I LIKE MOUSSE
Jan 31st
Autoglym’s new Wheel Cleaning Mousse could be the coolest thing to happen to wheels since ‘spokey dokeys’ adorned all BMXs in the eighties! Maybe.
There are some preferable processes in car care that us enthusiasts occasionally refer to as a pleasurable, fun or extremely satisfying experience. ‘Wheels’ is not usually it!
Simply spray a light coating of this stuff onto the surface of your alloy and watch it expand into a thick mousse that seeps into all those fiddly nooks and crannies, clinging to the contours and ensuring total coverage.
Once it’s found its way to all the hidden spots and stops expanding, More >
