GOING DIGITAL
Jan 13th
With many classic and kitcar car owners changing to digital speedometers, Mini Spares now offers a drive adaptor that allows pre-1980 MIni owners to convert their speedometers to digital.
The unit fits directly on to the gearbox in place of the standard cable and produces a digital signal for use with any electronic speedometer using a 12- or 5-volt square wave pulse such as the Mini Spares electronic speedo 13H4443.
Order as part number GSD1000 – this fits pre-1980 speedo drive pinions. Mini Spares also offer a similar drive for post-1980 Minis which can be ordered as GSD1001.

Several people have tried to reinvent it but most have failed because they never offered anything over and above what a cable tie could. However, the RAPSTRAP could be the future of such things.
If it sounds familiar, that could be due to it appearing on TV’s Dragons Den several years ago and gaining investment to boot.
The Rapstrap is More >
