LIFTS NOT NECESSARY

The traditional workshop trolley jack can be cumbersome and very heavy, but it also takes time to jack up a vehicle. Introducing the new pneumatic jacks from Lasers Tools — light weight, easily manageable and super-fast! Two versions available, the two-chamber model (part number 6530) has a maximum height of 430mm, and the three-chamber model (part number 6531) goes up to 550mm, both with a lifting capacity of 2 tonnes.
Connect to the workshop air supply and you will have even the lowest vehicle lifted in seconds. Saves all that strain of pumping away at a trolley jack — the pneumatic More >
MAKE TIME FOR SPORTS

JBA Motors arrived on the scene several years ago with their new take on the Falcon theme, with BMW donors and a beautifully built demonstrator that impressed me greatly when I drove it for a feature in TKC Mag in 2012.
Since then they’ve kept things low-key, mainly due to Bill Willcock being busy with his recycling machine business, although a steady flow of Falcon kits has kept the moulds ticking over.
In case you are unaware the original JBA Engineering operation was based in Lancashire and run by a wonderful pair of characters More >

PAINLESS EXTRACTION
Jul 28th
This versatile oil and fluid extractor from Laser Tools (part number 6534), has been designed to extract engine oil from engines via the dipstick tube (or oil service pipe if no dipstick fitted), using vacuum generated by workshop compressed air pressure. The 10-litre capacity allows the unit to be used on most modern engines and provides the capacity for at least one sump full of oil while still maintaining a good level of portability.
Three extraction hoses are supplied, specifically sized for extracting oil via the dipstick tube — two semi-rigid nylon for use on dip stick tubes and one flexible More >
LOOK, I’M REALLY NOT STOOPING TO KNOB JOKES!
Jul 28th
Every rule has its exception and in the world of motorsport the exception is the billet-weighted gearknob. The rule is to keep everything as light as possible but strangely there is a benefit to having a weighted geartknob. It has a distinct feel that makes shifting easier and smoother – and possibly quicker, but that’s down to the driver.
The latest SK51 gearknobs from MOMO are made from solid billet aluminium and are therefore heavier than standard items. Their simple ball design is actually quite ergonomic and fits naturally into the hand.
Of course MOMO has added its own distinct Italian-style with More >
FUTURE IS BRIGHT FOR TYPE 25 OWNERS
Jul 28th
For those who own or work on Type 25s, this new product from VW Heritage will be the proverbial music to your ears.
Plagued by problems, the Pierburg carburettors regularly get a bad press, and up until now the only way to fix them has been a complicated and not always successful rebuild procedure. Brand new replacements have been impossible to source.
These dark days are now over though, thanks to the hard work of the VW Heritage Product Development team. In partnership with carburettor champs Brosol, they have produced a direct replacement 2E model that is box-fresh and just waiting to More >
DON’T FORGET SUN-SCREEN
Jul 28th
Crawl under any modern car and you’ll probably find that the underbody is protected from exhaust and catalytic converter heat by a metallic foil-like material. You’ll probably also find a similar material in the engine bay protecting panels, components and wiring from radiant heat.
Now thanks to DEI’s new self-adhesive Heat Screen, you can have the same protection in your kit or classic car, camper van and racecar. DEI Heat Screen is made from ‘Mylar’ and foil-laminated to a glassfibre matting backed with an aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive for easy peel-and-stick application with high cohesion strength.
Heat Screen is available in two More >

THE BIG THREE. IT WAS ALWAYS THE BIG THREE!
Jul 21st
I’m a BIG fan of artist and photographer Keith Davies’ work – he specialises in short oval motorsport stuff and his latest ‘BIG THREE’ print took me straight back to my childhood and going with my late dad to venues like Aldershot, Wimbledon and Walthamstow to watch bangers and hot rods.
The print is so emotive for me I nearly burst into tears when I saw it. I confess to a definite lump in my throat. Showing George Polley (car 306; world champion 1976 & 1987), Mick ‘Duffy’ Collard (car 19; world champion 1980) and Barry Lee (car 351; world champion More >
