If you are building a kitcar or conversion that is using the Mazda MX-5 (NC) Mk3 or Mazda RX-8 five- or six-speed gearbox in the project, then this universal gearbox cross-member from Butcher Race Engineering will be of real interest.
It is height-adjustable and intended to span the width of the transmission tunnel. You can mount it by drilling holes through the end bolting or you can weld some brackets to your tunnel and use them to pick up on the cross-member’s bolt holes.

STEVE HOLE tells the story of British Racing Partnership and Yeoman Credit, who pioneered sponsorship in motorsport, being the first team to give up the identity of the team and cars in return for sponsorship money, who became the YEOMAN CREDIT RACING TEAM.
One of the pioneers of motorsport sponsorship came from Joseph Samengo-Turner’s Yeoman Credit operation, founded in 1955. By 1959, Joseph’s sons – Paul, William and Fabian – were running Yeoman. In a nutshell, Yeoman was one of the earliest exponents of car finance and many of the country’s major – and minor – car dealerships offered their HP policies.

PINTO PULLEYS

Burton’s Alternator/Water Pump Drive Kit is a vast improvement on the standard pulley arrangement on the Ford SOHC Pinto engine.
The Burton Power kit contains three aluminium pulleys, a drive belt and an adjustable tensioner as well as a locating bolt.
The conversion uses a multi-ribbed Poly V belt (5PK) with a greater surface area than the original item.
The pulley is designed to fit a 15mm diameter shaft but can be modified to suit 17mm shafts. The adjustable tensioner features spherical ends for improved belt tensioning.
