KEEP A LOW PROFILE WITH LONGSTONE TYRES
Jan 27th
For some time, there has not been a period-type 185/70R14 tyre available, although this situation was rectified recently by Pirelli’s re-introduction of their ‘V’ rated Cinturato CN36.
In 1968 low profile tyres were making their mark on the car market, and Pirelli was one of the first, with their Cinturato CN36.
What makes the 185/70VR14 CN36 so special is that it is a low profile alternative for an MGB and swathes of Alfa Romeo cars that originally fitted 165R14. Some people want to fit a wider tyre and the 185/70VR14 CN36 is wider, but constructed with a carcass that was developed to More >

NEW TREATS FOR YOUR ENGINE
Jan 27th
A9 Lubricants might be a new name to the world of engine additives and treatments but the company has actually been around for over 25-years.
Run by Renan Biro (if that surname sounds familiar that’s because his grandfather invented the ‘biro’ pen) the product is a low-friction residual film that coast mechanical components within your engine and A9 say it remains permanently in-place thus helping to reduce wear and tear.
Priced around £28.25 more information on the company’s other products and where to buy via www.a9lubricants.co.uk ENDS.

VINTAGE YEAR FOR CATERHAM CARS
Jan 20th
Caterham Cars has posted record sales figures for 2016, with over 600 Caterham Sevens sold in the last 12 months.
That figure is the highest 12-month sales result for Caterham since 1996. More than half (55 per cent) of cars were sold to UK customers, with 45 per cent exported overseas.
The increase in sales has been supported by further growth in Caterham’s UK dealer network, adding representatives in the Northwest, South West and centrally in the Midlands with the launch of a bespoke Caterham dealership, while expansion of the iconic manufacturer’s model range has also had a positive impact.

NICE ONE FROM MARLIN’S AVATAR DIVISION
Jan 20th
Avatar Sports Cars, the track and race division of Marlin Sports Cars, of course displayed their new Roadster at last weekend’s Autosport International show and for me it was the star of the whole event. It was great to see them exhibiting there.
They are limiting the car to a run of fifty to ensure exclusivity and the very pretty two-seater is available with a choice of two Ford EcoBoost engines, the 2-litre delivering a not exactly shabby 250bhp and the top of the range 2.3-litre version producing 350bhp.
Weighing in at just 695kg we’re talking 360bhp per tonne and 500bhp per More >
