The master cylinder is the heart of any hydraulic system and the hardest to troubleshoot. A pedal that can be slowly pushed to the floor indicates that the cylinder is worn. I was intrigued to see Powerlite’s Power Start device at the recent Race Retro show recently and if you’ve got an old British bike such as Triton or BSA you can save your leg muscles by using one of these to get your engine started.
