NEW WHEEL IS A QUANTUM LEAP
Mar 27th
With the mainstream motor manufacturers offering a wide choice of alloy wheels themselves, you have to offer something pretty special to tempt the owner to buy an aftermarket alloy.
Fortunately, the Italian brand, MOMO, has plenty of experience in producing stunning designs that go beyond what the mainstream would dare to offer – the new Quantum Evo is no exception.
This cutting edge alloy features dished spokes to make the wheels look even wider that they are, ultra-modern diamond cut spokes and the iconic ‘MOMO Italy’ centre cap as a badge of pedigree.

As usual, with the National Kit Car Motor Show approaching, fast, there’s rumblings down in Dorsetshire and plenty of midnight oil burning going on as Tribute Automotive work feverishly to get their latest projects and new demos ready in time for the show.
This always involves added pressure as Chris and Dan never trailer their stuff to shows, they endure a baptism of fire and drive the freshly constructed vehicle to its weekend destination. Thus far they’ve obviously been doing something right because apart from a More >

Latest MX-5 body conversion on the scene is the as yet un-named Roadster from serial exotic replica builder, Dave Wilson, of Macclesfield.
This is Dave’s first commercially-available product and it requires no revisions to the MX-5’s floorpan or other structures with the new panels being bonded or bolted into place. Dave also supplies a new bonnet and bootlid, which require fitment by separate steel frames that will be supplied within the kit package.
Prices have yet to be set but Dave tells me that the aim is to be affordable. The car will make its debut at the forthcoming National Kit Car More >
STAY DRY
Mar 19th
A product that we’ve had a really positive experience with comes from Machine Mart in the form of the Clarke DH20 20-litre Dehumidifier, which we used in one of our storage units where we store our magazines.
It’s water-tight and quite dry but during a wet-spell over the winter I stuck the DH20 in there for a couple of hours and really was incredibly impressed with the job it did, removing a load of water from the atmosphere and I was keen to prevent any damp patches from forming because magazines and dampness don’t go well together.
The unit features a tank More >

ROUND AND ROUND

Italian wheel company, Speedline, has released a new wheel design that uses the company’s latest manufacturing and finishing techniques to great effect. Called the SL1 Imperatore, this arresting design will fit a wide variety of five-stud patterned vehicles.
The Speedline name will need no introduction to most petrolheads, being a popular choice for many race-teams, as well as the OEM solution for the world’s largest car manufacturers.
As a pioneer of the art of ‘flowforming’ Speedline has used this desirable manufacturing technique on the SL1 Imperatore. The process spins the casting while simultaneously machining the final wheel shape, which keeps the alloy More >
YOU NEED ONE OF THESE – THE ULTIMATE DAD/LAD BUILD
Mar 12th
Starting my motoring journalist career on a great magazine called ‘Kitcars & SPECIALS’ had a major influence on me and a big respect, admiration and fascination for the homebrew that is a ‘special’. It has to be said that you sometimes wonder why some people have ventured outside the fixed kit and build manual norm by tackling a scratch build.
It has to be said that some specials look like they’ve been inadvertently created by an explosion at a baked bean factory. However, there have been some cracking cars More >
