PARAGON PURRING WITH NEW JAGUAR XK BODYKIT
Feb 12th
It’s true that the kitcar industry is built on shifting sands and naturally evolves with time. What was once considered alien and not part of our scene can easily become in vogue, much like the acceleration in the body conversion kit. They’ve always been available, of course, but of late, there’s a real influx.
Once everyone seemed to be launching a Lotus Seven-inspired sportscar, whereas now, it’s typically a BMW Z3 or Mazda MX-5 that receives the GRP panel treatment. Even MGB ‘rubber-bumper’ owners can now enhance their cars with several companies, including Garry Hutton of RPS, selling bodykit packages.

RACEY FLYWHEEL
Feb 12th
In most forms of motorsport every last gram makes a difference and Mini Spares has just released an ultra-light, forged EN24T, steel race flywheel that weighs just 2.4kg.
This flywheel is for use with a non-Verto clutch and a pre-engaged starter and has a built-in machined, non-replaceable ring-ear, which should never wear if the pre-engaged starter is functioning correctly.
The component is made symmetrically to reduce harmonics vibrations, which were evident on earlier versions and is considerably lighter than others available on the market and Mini Spares say that it’s intended for competent race engine builders use only and not recommend for More >
